Imagination Station is evolving from a Science and History Museum into a vibrant Children’s Museum and
Science Center designed to inspire curiosity, creativity, and hands-on learning. The first step in this transformation is
the launch of a brand-new pilot museum experience, opening in early 2027 and created especially for the children of
Wilson County and the surrounding region. This dynamic pilot will feature engaging, play-based exhibits across the
first and second floors, within a thoughtfully refreshed space that is safe, colorful, and welcoming to all children.
This pilot is not just a starting point—it is the catalyst for a bold vision to create a permanent, world-class Children’s
Museum and Science Center that will inspire discovery and transform learning for families across Wilson County
and Eastern North Carolina within the next three years.
